Sponsor a Student in Winston-Salem
According to a 2015 Harvard Study, Winston-Salem is the hardest place to escape child poverty in the United States. Children living in poverty in Winston-Salem are more likely to experience low academic achievement, diminished future job prospects, segregated schools and neighborhoods, and even shorter life expectancies. To lift these children out of poverty, the Piedmont Renewal Network is providing them with unparalleled academic support, tuition free college, and a host of wraparound services (see College Lift Initiative).
As we prepare children and their families for college over the course of seven years, consistent support is critical. This is where child sponsorship comes in. We’re asking supporters like you to sponsor a low income student on their journey to college and a better life.
Our goal is to have every student we serve matched up with someone like you. When you commit to sponsorship, you’ll receive exclusive updates and communications from your student and be kept up to date with the important life milestones and accomplishments your gift makes possible.
After you select your sponsorship option on this page, you will be contacted by a Piedmont Renewal Network team member, and receive information about the student you have sponsored.
